- Your NZ eTA lasts two years from approval, not your travel date. I learned this the hard way applied too early and watched the clock. NZ eTA Validity covers all the rules: ninety days maximum per stay for most travelers, multiple entries allowed. Get a new passport? You need a new eTA. Don't overstay or you'll face fines.
